Terms of Service
Last updated · 11 June 2026 · v0.1 (draft)
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing or using Inkvox (the "Software"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. The Software is published by Luc Lin, a sole trader operating under the trade name FORTIX ("we", "us").
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Inkvox on devices you own or control, for your own use. The free version is provided at no cost. Certain features ("Inkvox Pro") require a paid licence or subscription.
3. Intellectual property
The Software, its design, and the Inkvox name and logo remain our property and are protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. Third-party components (e.g. open-source speech-to-text models and libraries) remain governed by their own licences.
4. Acceptable use
- You are solely responsible for the content you dictate, transcribe and type using Inkvox.
- You agree not to use the Software for unlawful purposes, nor to resell, redistribute or sublicense it.
- You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile or circumvent technical protections, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
5. Pro plan & payment
Paid features are sold and billed through our Merchant of Record, Polar. Pricing, billing period and renewal terms are shown at the point of purchase. [TO COMPLETE: pricing, subscription vs one-time licence, renewal/cancellation terms] You can cancel as described at purchase; see also our Refund Policy.
6. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that transcription will be accurate, error-free or uninterrupted. You are responsible for reviewing transcribed output before relying on it.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Software. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including consumer-protection law).
8. Termination
You may stop using and uninstall the Software at any time. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. [TO COMPLETE: competent jurisdiction / consumer mediation reference]
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
